Victoria government offers and gives funding of free training for priority courses to more Victorians and help them to have the chance to study and reduces financial barriers for them. Students can train in courses that lead to jobs in demand from Victorian employers.
Free for priority courses covers tuition fees for students who are eligible for if you are
- an Australian citizen; or
- a holder of a permanent visa; or
- a New Zealand citizen and
- living in Victoria.
If you are eligible, the government will contribute to the cost of your training. Your eligibility will be determined by your training provider when you enrol, but the eligibility checker will give you an indication of your eligibility.
Government-subsidised training is only offered by training providers who have a contract with the Victorian Government to deliver training.
